Stanford Math Circle is intended as a local enrichment program. Applications become available at the beginning of each Fall quarter. Please note that these sessions are in high demand and we cannot accommodate all students.

Stanford Math Circle

Our ten-week courses run throughout the academic year and offer local students in grades 1–12 the chance to enrich their STEM education.
Dates & Tuition
We offer sessions in Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarter. Each quarter, Stanford Math Circle tuition is $350.
Enthusiastic Peers
Students learn in a community of peers; therefore, they must be in the grade level to which they apply.
Application Deadlines
The application opens two months ahead of the Fall Quarter session. We recommend joining our mailing list to get an announcement of when the application opens. After the Fall Quarter application closes, all new applications received will be placed on the waitlist for possible openings in Winter and Spring Quarters.
Apply Once Each School Year
Students admitted in the Fall quarter have the option to continue with Math Circle in the Winter and Spring Quarters for that school year. If seats become available in the Winter or Spring quarter, we will contact waitlisted students for admission.

Admissions Process

Students talk in pairs in a small lecture hall.

This program is intended as an exposure and enrichment opportunity for local youth with an interest in math. Because of this, our students are accepted via a lottery system. If you have been waitlisted for Math Circle in the past and have not participated before, you will be given priority in the lottery.

Application Currently Closed

Our application for Stanford Math Circle is currently closed. Please join our mailing list to learn about future opportunities.
